EPISODE 15 (NIGHTMARE QUIZ SHOW / WHO WANTS TO BE IN JEOPARDY!)

The trio arrives
at a city dome belong to MCQ proxy. It seems that he captures Re-l and Pino and
challenges Vincent in a quiz show. If Vincent wins, he will let them live and let
himself die. If MCQ wins, Vincent will die. He manages to kill 25 proxies in a
row earlier.
The quiz show
gives a big view of the earth history, Boomerang Star and Proxy Project. MCQ
launches a communication satellite. The satellite hacks all domes communication,
including Romdeau. He forces everybody to watch the show.
It is the first
time proxy One is alluded. Proxy One characteristics are revealed in the show:
likes to wear black, has mean or scary vision, older than he looks like (he is
thousands year old but looks like
average adult), can withstand the cold, shy but gets intimate once gets
together, works behind the screen, obsessed with Vincent, cries a lot, does not
talk much, always win (Ergo is the strongest proxy) and naked under blue sky.
The earth
history, Boomerang Star and Proxy Project are explained in the Context in
previous section. Vincent wins the show, which means MCQ
dies. Everybody now knows that Vincent is Ergo,
Re-l is still alive, the history of earth, Boomerang Star and Proxy Project.

Details and Easter Eggs:
- MCQ’s quote ‘Ra, the Egyptian god, who possesses
the same sacred eyes as ours, is the God of what? Sun’ proves that he is a
proxy like Vincent. It also implies that their eyes can produce sun ray waves.
- The MCQ dome is another proof that proxy is creative in the matter of shaping society.
- By the way MCQ calls proxy One as the champion implies that they are allied. MCQ’s attitude towards Vincent is totally disrespectful. E.g. shoving the mic to Vincent’s nose and mocking his condition. The purpose of MCQ and One alliance is the same like bookstore proxy, to provoke Vincent’s memory.
- MCQ disrespects Vincent because of the same reason Kazkis told. It is an unwritten norm for proxies that running away from their duties is the most disgusting thing.
- How did proxy One convince other proxies like bookstore proxy and MCQ to conspire with him? All proxies believe in fate that they should die in the awakening. Vincent losing memory means he loses proxy raison d’etre, then he does not want to die in the awakening. MCQ provokes Vincent’s memory so he will remember to eliminate himself. Little did he know, One plans Vincent not to die, but to live. As for bookstore proxy, he knows One’s real purpose.
- Vincent seems to be famous. Even Vincent does not know how MCQ knows he is unemployed and homeless. Another possibility is proxy One shares the information to MCQ.
- Only autoreivs appear in the show. These autoreivs are not infected. The dome citizens probably are
wiped by MCQ himself judging by how he calls pseudo-human
not quite alive (inhuman).
He considers pseudo human as a failure like
proxy One.
- The last questions are related to the maze (including journey sabotage and mind game) set by proxy One.
- MCQ’s quote proxies will fight the way proxies will fight shows that MCQ dies
in Vincent’s hand. Nothing on earth can kill a
proxy other than other proxy and sunlight. He knows he will lose to Ergo thus he
lets him win the quiz. He probably invites the prior 25 proxies because he seeks death to fulfill his raison d’etre. At the end of the show, he sheds happy tears because finally he gets to fulfill his raison d’etre.
- MCQ loves to act like a celebrity. He still has time to put make up on and make jokes around. He considers his death (by fighting Ergo) as a glorious death. May be that is why he launches the satellite.
- Proxy One is described naked under blue
sky. The blue sky is his private throne room in Romdeau that is shown in the last episode.
- Vincent’s eyes are slowly opened towards the end of the show. It implies than he has gained knowledge and becomes not so blind.
